October 30th, 2010

Just finished tasting a few of the 2010 Pinot's in barrel. Amazing!
The Horseshoe Bend was most mellow dark fruit berry smooth. TNT showed intense red fruits with gripping acidity and wonderful layers, Ruxton most structured with dark deep fruit characters, intense flavors.
YUM!
Thanks to our wine club members for coming to visit from New Jersey & getting us out on this rainy saturday to taste!

Monday October 25

Rained all weekend up to 4 inches dropping. Good thing all of our fruit is in except for the Valdiguie. Mat thinks it is still up to 2 weeks out before fully ripening. It is a hearty thick skinned grape that should have no problem with the rains.

Wednesday October 20th

A new Chardonnay vineyard for PMV was picked today. 2.5 tons arrived in beautiful shape. The Weeks Vineyard in Sebastopol will be the only Chardonnay for PMV label in 2010.
